This financial and operating information includes extracts from the BG Group Annual Report and Accounts 2008 (“BG Group ARA”) and quarterly results statements. Reference to these reports will assist in the understanding of the figures in this document. The financial information in this document is unaudited and is not intended to be the statutory accounts of BG Group plc.

Business Performance

“Business Performance” excludes disposals, certain re-measurements and impairments, and exclusion of these items provides readers with a clear and consistent presentation of the underlying operating performance of the Group’s ongoing business.

Translation into US Dollars

Some of BG Group’s financial figures in Sterling have been translated into US Dollars. The average rate for each period has been used when translating the income statement and cash flow statement. These translations should not be construed as representations that the Sterling amounts actually represent such US Dollar amounts or could be converted into US Dollars at the rate indicated or any other rate.
